Human Resources/Office Coordinator
OakMed West is the Grand Rapids Michigan division of AmeriCare Medical, providing integrated home health service to hospitals, insurance companies and private homes throughout Michigan. AmeriCare is the parent company of AmeriStaff Nursing Services, Sun Medical Equipment and Supplies, RxIV Pharmacy and QCN Home Health Care, marketing and delivering a complete and unprecedented home health care service solution.
We are searching for a full-time Human Resources Recruitment Specialist/Generalist to run the daily functions of the Grand Rapids office including interviewing and hiring staff, new hire orientation, training, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position reports to the Human Resources Director and does not offer remote or hybrid work.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Conduct full-cycle staff recruitment and facilitate the hiring and onboarding of new employees
- Source for healthcare professionals, mainly Home Health Aides (HHA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Registered Nurses (RN) through various sites, including internet postings, social media referrals, nursing schools, direct mail, job fairs, etc.
- Work closely with our Scheduling and Intake Coordinators to strategically source candidates for specified functional skills and needs of the organization and patients
- Review resumes, pre-screen candidates, and schedule interviews to make offers of employment based on job requirements
- Organize weekly new hire orientations, present orientation materials via PowerPoint presentation and discussion
- Develop and accurately prepare recruiting and/or HR reports
- Support the Director of Human Resources on special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Human Resources and recruitment experience, preferably in healthcare
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is highly preferred; knowledge of home care and/or Human Resources knowledge a plus
- Administrative proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter
- Experience with ADP WFN ideal
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively
- Proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships
