Eikenhout Inc is a wholesale distributor of exterior building products. Our 180+ team members partner with Michigan contractors to get them everything they need at ten locations throughout Michigan. We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of human resource functions with an emphasis on building strong teams and supporting our team members.

Responsibilities:

Serve as HR Partner, offering guidance & support
Lead full-cycle recruiting and support workforce planning needs
Coach leaders and employees on performance and development
Support employee engagement, onboarding and retention initiatives
Maintain accurate and confidential HR data and documentation
Collaborate with the team on process improvements, HR technology and programs
Leverage HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions
Policy Development & Compliance
Compensation & Benefit Administration & Support
Perform other HR related duties and special projects as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant human resources experience
SHRM-CP Preferred
Valid driver license & excellent driving record
Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations and best business practices
Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (We use Bamboo), Tech adaptable
In person work, Monday – Friday
Travel to branch locations and occasional overnight stays
Exceptional communication, relationship building and coaching skills
Strong judgment, discretion and professionalism in sensitive matters
Highly organized with ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Willingness to work flexible hours
