Eikenhout Inc is a wholesale distributor of exterior building products. Our 180+ team members partner with Michigan contractors to get them everything they need at ten locations throughout Michigan.  We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of human resource functions with an emphasis on building strong teams and supporting our team members.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as HR Partner, offering guidance & support
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and support workforce planning needs
  • Coach leaders and employees on performance and development
  • Support employee engagement, onboarding and retention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR data and documentation
  • Collaborate with the team on process improvements, HR technology and programs
  • Leverage HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Policy Development & Compliance
  • Compensation & Benefit Administration & Support
  • Perform other HR related duties and special projects as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant human resources experience
  • SHRM-CP Preferred
  • Valid driver license & excellent driving record
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations and best business practices
  • Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (We use Bamboo), Tech adaptable
  • In person work, Monday – Friday
  • Travel to branch locations and occasional overnight stays
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building and coaching skills
  • Strong judgment, discretion and professionalism in sensitive matters
  • Highly organized with ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
