INVENTORY SPECIALIST

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cycle counts of products, resin, concentrate, and components, monitoring inventory levels, investigating inventory losses – doing RCA’s, coordinating the planning and implementation of service orders.
  • Maintain Railcars and inventory of Silos.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count to verify on-hand inventory.
  • Create and distribute inventory cycle reports to management and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of product inventory associated with specific orders.
  • Drive improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory shrinkage and maximize inventory turns.
  • Audit raw and finished goods for accuracy.
  • Assist in leading year-end company-wide physical inventory.
  • Assist in confirming in Production orders when needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent or 4 year degree preferred.

At least 1 year of inventory and/or shipping and receiving experience. Possess advanced working knowledge in MS Office applications, particularly in excel, word, and outlook. ERP experience is required SAP preferred. Ability and willingness to work outside of normal hours including evening and weekends. Must have great attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position requires regular standing and sitting for extended periods. Regular typing/keyboarding, writing, and filing. The position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors. Must also be able to work in a high-stress environment. May be required to lift up to 55 pounds.
