WATER TREATMENT SPECIALIST

Our team currently has an opening for a Water Treatment Specialist.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARY

The Water Treatment Specialist will support the sales team in developing business for top accounts. They will be responsible for basket/product selling, cross-selling, and value based pricing. They will join sales colleagues in executing customer visits, preparing, coordinating, negotiating, closing proposals, responding to RFQs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support & Business Development 65%-75%

  • Actively pursue new sales opportunities, solutions and applications within the water treatment market of the assigned region and product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with our Last Mile Service Organizations and the Water Treatment Focus Industry team building a robust opportunity pipeline and effectively closing deals within the specified product portfolio.
  • Qualify and execute sales calls with LMSO sellers, and, or, directly with end users as appropriate.
  • Qualify effective technical support progressing opportunities to successful closing, and to support existing business as appropriate to Brenntag’s service model.
  • Utilizes industry standard bench tests and completes system analysis to match value-based solutions that advance end users’ business needs.
  • Liaise with suppliers to help qualify technical oversite an product information related to opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to key clients in assigned territory including pre-bid support and budget estimates.
  • Communicate with all current and potential customers on a regular basis, providing solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity in your assigned sales region for the water treatment industry.

General Admin 10%-15%

  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to collaborate, validate, progress and communicate in relation to opportunities and strategy.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the potential of each account in assigned territory.
  • Control pricing within preset company limits in collaboration with product management.
  • Forecast sales and gross profit (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and provide reports as requested.

Know-How Management 5%-10%

  • Maintain an up-to-date level of product knowledge, e.g., via training.
  • Keep up to date with changes and updates in the product portfolio and in the market.
  • Keep up to date on feedstock and upstream developments that impact product price movements.

  • Capacity to develop sales strategies providing value added services and promote products
  • Ability to Drive Business Growth- Participates actively in development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing and sales business plans that increase gross profit and expand market share within the Water Treatment Industry.
  • Communication skills – Reads, writes and speaks fluent English, using appropriate grammar, style and vocabulary. Correctly spells commonly used English words and job specific terms. Demonstrates exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational ability – Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments. Is very orderly and excels at cutting through confusion and turning chaos into order.
  • Problem solving skills – Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Decisive in handling difficult problems, collaboratively with stakeholders. Translates problems into practical solutions and is capable of understanding relationships and dependencies within different metrics and behaviors.
  • Client service skills – Consistently ensures the client is provided with attentive, courteous and informative service. Gains and shows personal satisfaction from delivering great service.
  • Computer skills – Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and specialized software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce or a similar CRM program as well as progressive artificial intelligence tools as provided. Capable of quickly researching, extracting data and presenting insightful and actionable information to leadership. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience in previous roles. Industry specific experience required.
  • Valid driving license and clean driving record
  • Employment is contingent upon completion of background investigation and pre-employment drug screening 

Salary: $110,000-$120,000
