About the Unit

We are a busy OB/GYN practice who focuses on the total care of women, specifically OB, postpartum, gyn problems, birth control and preventative care. We also perform several procedures in the office and have ultrasound at each location.

The East Beltline office is a large building with multi-specialty services throughout the building and is a fast paced environment. We hold our staff to a high standard and promote a culture of positivity, strong work ethic, accountability, and teamwork. We like to create an environment where people desire to come to work.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work  

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience Working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Required
  • Experience working as a medical assistant Required
  • Experience using EPIC Required
  • Experience as an EPIC SuperUser Preferred
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
