Scope of Work
- Deliver respiratory procedures as prescribed by physicians, under the direct supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Document according to policy, all pertinent information on respiratory care rendered.
- Ensure patent airway and adequate ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Set up, operate, and monitor respiratory monitoring equipment under direct supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Process respiratory equipment for sterilization and provides necessary preventive maintenance.
- Contribute to the effective communication needs of the patient care team. Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service.
- Maintain commitment to professional growth and competency. Adhere to the organization’s published values.
- Contribute to the productivity of the department and proper coverage as assigned by management, i.e. facility assignment, unit assignment, schedule call, etc.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy.
- May be a recent graduate having earned an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program. Required
- Respiratory Therapy student who has completed at least 1 year in an accredited respiratory therapy program. Preferred
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
