Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grains and Processing Division. We are looking for a Scale Technician Associate at our sunflower processing facility in Grandin, North Dakota. This role involves direct interaction with customers and handling documentation for incoming and outgoing sunflower products. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and accurately record results.
  • Probe all incoming and outgoing loads based on company procedure to collect representative samples for testing and retention.
  • Perform testing on inbound products and product transfers for dockage, sizing, insect damage, dark roast, aflatoxin, etc. to ensure that they meet company and food safety requirements at receipt.
  • Enter results of testing into computer systems and ensure that completed, organized paperwork is turned into the office daily.
  • Operate equipment to unload trucks, determine location for inbound product, place product in the correct receiving bin and transfer product as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety and food safety culture and follow all safety and food safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and food safety issues and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations

Additional Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
