We are looking for a dependable Standby/Rescue Technician to join our team and provide critical standby and rescue support at customer locations. This is not a desk job. You’ll work in challenging environments, climb ladders and scaffolds, work at heights and in confined spaces, and be part of a team trained to respond when safety matters most.
What You'll Do
- Provide safe and professional standby and rescue services at customer locations.
- Perform confined-space and elevated-space rescue operations when needed.
- Set up, operate, inspect, maintain, and restock rescue and jobsite equipment.
- Complete required permits, entry logs, daily reports, checklists, and timesheets accurately and on time.
- Maintain clear communication with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and management.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and customer-specific procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized jobsites, vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
- Learn new technical skills and equipment to help solve jobsite and operational challenges.
Training Provided
You'll receive training and certification in areas such as:
- Confined Space Rescue
- Rope Rescue
- Respirator Safety
- First Aid & CPR
- OSHA & General Safety
- Jobsite-specific equipment and procedures
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of industry-related experience preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required physical and respirator fit testing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in congested industrial environments.
- Ability to climb ladders, catwalks, scaffolds, and work safely at elevated heights.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain alert and focused throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel, including extended assignments of up to 2 weeks as business needs require.
- Ability to work safely in a drug- and alcohol-free workplace.
