Roots is an interdisciplinary specialty clinic that provides ābottom-upā therapy and treatment. Our interdisciplinary treatment model is founded on the belief that everyone on the team brings unique skills and qualities to our practice. This allows us to offer premium-level treatment services including clinical treatment, rehab therapies, and other complementary services to provide individualized and comprehensive care to our patients.

Roots is seeking a Clinical Therapist who is passionate about helping patients with a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders improve their emotional regulation capacities and improve overall social-emotional, relational, and behavioral functioning.

General Requirements:
- Master of Science in Psychology, Master of Clinical Social Work, Master of Arts in Counseling, or other related degree
- Licensed by the State of Michigan
Ā
Roots Qualifications:
- Specialized training in trauma/psychosomatic treatment, play therapy, or related specialty areas (such as EMDR, TBRI, Theraplay, somatic psychotherapy Play Project, DIR, etc.)
- Experience working with challenging populations/disorders/diagnoses
- Commitment to interdisciplinary work, recognizing the importance and value of a holistic treatment approach

Job Expectations:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals for a variety of psychological, behavioral, relational, and other social-emotional delays and disorders.
- Some after-school/evening and/or weekend availability for patients (minimum of 5 available appointment slots per week)
- Part-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 17 available appointment slots per week
- Full-time clinicians expected to have a minimum of 28 available appointment slots per week
- High attention to detail when planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting treatment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to successfully utilize EHR (electronic health record) system for scheduling, documentation, and patient record management.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain regular attendance
