What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll prepare nutritious, appetizing meals while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

‍ Preparing and cooking meals according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and therapeutic diet requirements

Ensuring food is prepared, portioned, and presented with quality and consistency

️ Monitoring and documenting food temperatures to maintain food safety standards

Receiving, storing, rotating, and managing food inventory using FIFO guidelines

Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas

️ Assisting with patient meal service and cafeteria food production as needed

Collaborating with dietary staff to ensure timely meal preparation and exceptional customer service

️ Following all food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines

What We're Looking For

✔ High School Diploma or GED preferred

✔ Food Handler Certification required within 7 days of hire

✔ Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, school, or institutional setting preferred

✔ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

✔ Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

✔ Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

✔ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
