Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Room Technician to support our Emergency Services team on a PRN basis. You'll work alongside physicians and nurses to provide essential clinical and administrative support - helping with patient assessments, procedures, and safety in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where no two shifts look the same.
This is a great fit for a CNA or EMT who wants flexible, hands-on ER experience, or who's looking to gain emergency department exposure while building toward a future clinical career.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical and administrative support throughout the emergency department
- Assist with patient assessments and medical procedures
- Help ensure patient safety in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader ER team
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant course, or EMT certification
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Current CNA status on the Illinois Nurse Aide Registry, or EMT certification (Illinois or National Registry)
- Completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training prior to finishing orientation
- Clinical experience as a CNA or EMT preferred
