Description

At ECS Composites, we build rugged composite products used around the world in military, aerospace, commercial, and industrial applications. As a Shear Operator, you'll play a key role in preparing materials that become part of products built to perform in the toughest environments.


Our regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, giving you a 3-day weekend most weeks. Occasional Friday overtime may be required during busy periods, giving you the opportunity to earn extra hours when production demands increase.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate shear equipment to cut materials accurately and efficiently 
  • Read work orders and production drawings 
  • Measure and verify materials before cutting 
  • Inspect finished parts for quality 
  • Keep materials organized and minimize waste 
  • Work with your team to keep production moving 
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area 
  • Follow safety and quality standards 

What We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything on day one—we'll train the right person.


We're looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented 
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Comfortable using measuring tools 
  • Dependable and reliable 
  • Able to work independently and with a team 
  • Willing to learn 

Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.


Physical Requirements

This position requires:

  • Standing throughout the shift 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. 
  • Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling 
  • Working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks
