Title: Logistics and Compliance Specialist
Location: Onsite, Dallas Office - 2555 Regent Blvd, Dallas, TX
Reports to: Corporate Logistics/Custom Compliance Manager
Standard Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Central Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Compensation: $27.00 - $34.00



JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:         

  • Data entry for shipments, tracking numbers, and related logistics data
  • Creating and managing Excel spreadsheets with formulas and links between sheets
  • Creating and managing google spreadsheets with formulas and links between sheets
  • Updating Google Sheets for shipment tracking
  • Assisting with customs compliance documentation
  • Coordinating with courier companies (UPS, DHL, etc.)
  • Coordinating with Freight Forwarders and Shipping companies
  • Ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
  • Processing incoming and outgoing shipments, including coordinating with carriers, managing shipping documentation, and tracking deliveries.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely customs clearance by preparing necessary documentation and working with customs brokers.
  • Monitoring shipment status and resolving any logistical issues that may arise
  • Staying updated on relevant trade regulations, export controls, and import requirements for different countries.
  • Reviewing and verifying shipping documents for compliance with regulations, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
  • Identifying potential compliance risks and implementing corrective actions to mitigate them.
  • Managing export and import compliance records to ensure proper documentation is readily available for audits.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure compliance with shipping procedures and regulations.
  • Communicating with sales, operations, and service teams regarding shipment details and compliance requirements.
  • Identifying and addressing any potential compliance issues within the logistics process.


Physical Demands of Job:

This position is an office position that requires continuous use of the computer (more than 5.6 hours per day) and is performed in a seated position the majority of the workday.   
 

Required Qualifications: 
Education: 
High School Diploma or GED-equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years of logistics, shipping, or customs experience.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel (Excel Formula Development, Excel Scripting, Data Analysis & Spreadsheet Automation, Spreadsheet Modeling, Data management & Reporting).
 
Experience linking multiple Excel/Google Sheets together Proficiency in google sheets

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
