This role requires working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems, along with the ability to perform basic building repairs and work independently. The position supports daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance tracking, parts inventory management, and documentation using Microsoft Windows-based systems. This individual may also assist in guiding other maintenance technicians by supporting daily work assignments, monitoring ongoing projects, and communicating maintenance activities and priorities to plant leadership. Principal Responsibilities Build, repair, install, and maintain high-speed packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and facility infrastructure Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable production operations Install new machinery, assist with capital equipment installations, and support electrical wiring systems in a safe and timely manner Rebuild, fabricate, and replace parts as needed to maintain equipment performance Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, gears, fans, compressors, and related systems Maintain building and facility systems, including utilities, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and masonry Monitor equipment performance and safety standards, completing scheduled inspections and identifying potential risks Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards, GMP requirements, and 6S practices Monitor and coordinate on-site repair contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of work Collaborate with Production Supervisors and team members to troubleshoot issues, communicate risks, and identify process improvements Assist maintenance team members and support plant maintenance activities as needed Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Education, Experience & Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics (electrical and mechanical), and programmable logic controls (PLCs) Ability to read and comprehend instructions, operation manuals, preventive maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience with welding, electrical systems, and equipment troubleshooting Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Basic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively and handle conflict in a professional manner Ability to work flexible hours as needed Strong work ethic with a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and proven work history Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support/coaching of team members Willingness to give and receive feedback and contribute to a positive team culture Commitment to continuous improvement Support of company culture focused on quality, accountability, efficiency, and teamwork Familiarity with FDA/GMP requirements, including change control and preventive maintenance (preferred) Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day, intermittently) Ability to bend and twist at the waist and neck for extended periods (up to 2 hours per day, intermittently) Ability to work a 3pm – 1:30am CT schedule
