JOB OVERVIEW 

The Total Rewards Manager will design, implement, and manage the company’s total rewards programs including employee benefits, payroll, compensation, HRIS, and related compliance activities. 

 

This role provides strategic and tactical support for total rewards management, ensuring programs are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s operating goals and objectives. 

 

This role will lead the team in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers as well as partner closely with vendors to deliver value-driven solutions for an exceptional employee experience. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines: 

  • Oversee all payroll policies, procedures, reconciliation, and processing activities to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.   
  • Manage employee benefit programs including health, wellness, leave of absence, and voluntary benefits ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the HRIS platform and projects relating to enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and implementation to optimize system functionality, security, and end-user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and data privacy regulations and maintain documentation, records, and reporting requirements. 
  • Manage and develop team members, establish department goals and service standards, and identify and streamline process enhancements to enable automation and technology.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to total rewards and HR operations.
  • Promote continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual total rewards budget, and monitor periodically to identify monthly and year-to-date variances.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field required and at least 7 years of related plan management and payroll experience required including mergers & acquisitions and managing third party vendors. 
  • At least 5 years of experience managing, configuring, and maintaining HRIS systems including implementation experience.
  • Advanced regulatory and compliance knowledge regarding employee benefit programs, and multi-state payroll management required. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong customer service competency

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
