PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census:
ED Daily Volume: 85–90 patients/day
Average Daily Inpatient/Observation Census: ~50 patients
Approximately 50 imaging studies/day and 4–6 procedures/day
• Admissions: 12–15 per day
• Case Mix: Surgical, Medical, ICU, OB, Stroke Imaging, Interventional Radiology
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology procedural equipment
• Support Staff Available: Diagnostic Imaging Nurses and Radiology Techs
• Specialty Backup Available: Sacramento Radiology Group for overflow and after-hours reads
• Reason for Coverage: Resignation of Radiologist

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Lumbar punctures
• Barium studies
• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Nephrostomy tube placement
• Intra-abdominal abscess drainage

• Suprapubic catheter placement
• CT/Ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Thyroid biopsies
• Lung biopsies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active California license
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: BLS, California Fluoroscopy Permit
• Experience: Acute care imaging and procedural IR experience required
• Other Qualifications:
      Residency training required
      Strong procedural skills required
      Capability to interpret Stroke CTs, ED imaging, and ICU imaging studies
      Availability required at time of name clear
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide hospital interventional radiology coverage
• Interpret acute care imaging studies including Stroke CTs
• Perform image-guided interventional radiology procedures
• Cover outpatient imaging needs including contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
• Collaborate with radiology nurses, technologists, and overflow radiology teams
