Resin Pumper - NIGHT SHIFT ONLY

Job Title:        Resin Pumper - NIGHT SHIFT ONLY

Department:  Manufacturing

Reports To:    Inventory Control Supervisor / Shift Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Back Up: Supervisor / PLT / or Lead will help maintain pumps (if pumping requirements needed) to prevent running out of material to the manufacturing facility.  *Communication with Inventory Control will determine if pumping is needed during absence of pumper.

SUMMARY

Pumper is responsible for unloading raw materials from storage container ‘railcar’ to storage container ‘silo’ (by use of outside pump stations) and/or from storage container silo to boxes (by use of inside pump stations) in order to maintain supply of material to the manufacturing facility. Also responsible of housekeeping on outside tracks, pumping stations, pump rooms and all silos.  When pumping schedule is light, will work indoors and help inventory control supervisor organize box materials and do housekeeping on racks when needed to prepare for annual SQF audit.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.  Forklift experience preferred but will train on the job.

Work outdoors during summer and winter months and deal with the elements of sun, rain, snow.  Drag pumping hoses weighing 100 lbs or less from railcar to railcar.   (If assistance needed, a leader will help or find an employee to help move hose from railcar to railcar or spur to spur.)
