Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation, Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment in Tuba City, AZ.

  • Location: Tuba City, AZ
  • Hourly Pay: $ 38.50

  • ORIENTATION: Every 2 weeks

The Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II position serves to provide quality physical therapy services to a predominately Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease. Responsible for management and implementation of Physical Therapy program; provision of physical therapy evaluation and treatment of inpatients (regular work week, and weekend rotation) and outpatients, ages ranging from birth through geriatric; provision of specialty services such as wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, geriatric clinic, high school clinic, functional clinic, spinal cord clinic, assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment, Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program; assumes direction and development of the physical therapy section to include continuing quality improvement, risk management and safety, physical therapy policies and procedures; Joint Commission preparation, staff education, reporting, staff meeting and in-service, and other duties. Responsibilities also include that listed on the Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges form.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
  • Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
  • Develop an individualized treatment plan
  • Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
  • Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
  • Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
  • Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process

Compensation:

  • Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
  • Pay package details provided upon offer

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years of prior PT experience
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree from the Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • Must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico during tenure of employment.
  • Applicant must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff. All related information required for credentialing must be provided.
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
