We’re hiring a Warehouse Manager to Live. Work. Explore. at the south rim of the Grand Canyon!

 

Job Summary:
Manage the warehouse operations for all purchasing warehouses used to stock products for the South Rim. Oversee management of inventory turns, dumps, and spoils.

 

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $49,608 per year
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Housing: Eligible for a Private 1-Bedroom Apartment for $352 per month and $352 housing deposit.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule work assignments for all warehouse personnel. 
  • Supervise the accurate completion of daily stock requisitions including paperwork and delivery. 
  • Maintain the computerized ordering/inventory tracking software. 
  • Supervise loading and unloading of warehouse delivery trucks as well as all inbound freight carriers. 
  • Responsible for warehouse stock control, including reordering to maintain appropriate par levels,  
  • Prepare and/or oversee preparation of all orders for stock replenishment as well as shipment in a timely manner of special ordered product to the appropriate units. 
  • Receive ordered items into the warehouse and ensure items are properly put away in the correct pick location. 
  • Supervise cleaning of warehouse area, and that ServeSafe HACCP standards are being adhered to in receiving, shipping and storage of food. 
  • Assure that all chemicals and/or hazardous materials are properly stored in the appropriate warehouse area. 
  • Supervise and participate in monthly inventory of the warehouse. 
  • Check all bar orders against bottles returned, and refill unit orders only on a per-bottle basis. 
  • Document paperwork and copy Inventory/Invoice Coordinator on all returned products to assure credit is received. 
  • Inspect quality of goods received and turn away any product not deemed to be acceptable.  Make appropriate note of refused product on carrier’s paperwork to assure proper credit is applied. 
  • Verify all items in warehouse are matched with the proper stock number and that these numbers are correct in the software program. 
  • Assure all changes and/or additions in the warehouse stock are made to order guides and templates as the Purchasing Buyer and/or Manager issues them. 
  • Assure key control and security of the warehouse is maintained, making sure all alarms are set at closing. 
  • Adheres to all safety, risk management and sustainability policies in the performance of tasks. 
  • Ensure that assigned staff is adhering to risk management procedures, including but not limited to, wearing personal protective equipment, MSDS location and comprehension and ergonomics. 
  • Conduct annual reviews for hourly personnel, and administer any corrective action as needed. 
  • Prepare and manage as needed, any warehouse moves, slot assignments, warehouse/product racking and layout plans. 
  • Supervise and train on use of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and computers. 
  • Interview, train, and hire warehouse personnel. 
  • Do periodic spot inventory checks. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Two years of food warehouse experience including ordering procedures and inventory control processes. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn ordering/inventory tracking software. 
  • Basic food sanitation knowledge in handling perishable products. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with employees, vendors, and clients. 
  • Possess or able to obtain valid Arizona Driver’s License and comply with the company's Driver Safety Program.

 

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward/above shoulders, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 12 lbs.

Frequently: Climb, lift/carry up to 100 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, lift/carry over 100 lbs.
