POSITION SUMMARY

The Blaster/Painter is responsible for performing labor tasks utilizing blasting equipment in preparing company products for painting/coating and preparing/mixing paints, as well as applying to the product per customer specification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform pre-inspection on any blasting or painting equipment before operating
  • Prepare equipment, materials and area around before starting blasting or painting activities
  • Blast or paint according to customer specifications
  • Keep paint, blasting and other tools in good working order
  • Inspect all equipment used, perform minor repairs and clean equipment as well as the work area
  • Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
  • Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • High School diploma or equivalent education 
  • 1+ year of blasting/painting experience in an industrial setting
  • Basic written and verbal skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately
  • Must be reliable and have good time management skills
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
