Job Title: Safety SpecialistSchedule: 7/7Job Location: Offshore, Louisiana, TexasThe Safety Specialist is responsible for integrating health, environmental, and safety (HES) practices into the daily operations of a cross-functional team, including production operations and support functions for construction and I&E projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company HES policies within oil and gas operations.
This will be a 7&7 position with the great majority of the schedule being offshore or at site locations.
Responsibilities

- Develop and implement new and existing programs designed to improve HES performance.Â
- Plan and coordinate emergency response activities.Â
- Conduct audits and assessments, maintaining accurate records.Â
- Handle internal and external HES reporting.Â
- Develop and prepare written reports on safety and environmental matters.Â

Qualifications
Â
- 2+ years of experience in health, environmental, and safety (HES) within oil and gas operations.Â
- Competency in excavation and trenching, lifting/hoisting operations, and safety oversight of subcontractors on job sites.Â
- Demonstrated proactive attitude towards personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public.Â
- Working knowledge of HES regulatory requirements at federal, state, and local levels.Â
- Experience in developing, delivering, and managing safety, health, and environmental programs.Â
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence behaviors to create a safer working environment.Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.Â
- Proven ability to collaborate with employees, contractors, landowners, city officials, and regulatory personnel to reduce safety and environmental incidents.Â
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Â
- Team-oriented, flexible, self-starter with minimal supervision.Â
- Proficient in computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Â
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; HES-related degree or certifications strongly preferred.Â
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.Â
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements, including background check, drug test, hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit-for-duty assessment.Â
- Strong initiative and self-starter, with the ability to keep neat and accurate records.Â
