What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure goals for safety, quality, and output are consistently met.
- Lead, coach, and develop production operators, fostering a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate shift activities, allocate work assignments, and ensure proper staffing across a 24/7 rotating schedule.
- Enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring strict compliance with PPE requirements and plant procedures.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, conducting safety discussions, and supporting incident investigations.
- Oversee equipment operation and production processes to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Guide operators in troubleshooting process or equipment issues and escalate concerns as needed.
- Verify that raw materials and finished goods meet chemical and customer specifications.
- Ensure accurate documentation of production data, shipping/receiving information, and process conditions using computer-based systems.
- Monitor process parameters and product quality to maintain customer and regulatory standards.
- Participate in and promote ongoing training, certification programs, and skill-building activities to enhance team capability.
- Mentor team members to support career progression and strengthen plant operations.

What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating in an industrial, chemical, refinery, warehouse, farming, construction, mechanical, or production environment.
- Experience using computer systems or tablets for data entry and documentation.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Demonstrated continuous work history (at least 2 years of employment in the past 4 years preferred).
- One (4) or more years of experience in the chemical or refinery industries preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
