Position Summary
- The Accountant II is responsible for assisting in the completion of engagements, year-end compilations, audits, and other accounting projects. The Accountant II has all work reviewed prior to distribution and works under the supervision of Managers, Senior Managers, or Shareholders.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information related to client, staff, and Firm’s internal operations during and after employment with JCCS.
- Prepares compilation reports for year-end, ready for tax preparation, prior to review.        Â
- Assists with audits under the close supervision of senior professional staff.  Â
- Generates data entry for monthly and quarterly accounting and financial statements for timely deadlines and review process. Processes and distributes 1099s at year end.
- Complies with IRS, state and federal tax requirements, wage and hour, and researches clients’ questions for accuracy and compliance.
- Builds relationships with clients and interacts with integrity and honesty.
- May help provide transactional support for CAS team as well as coordinate delivery of services.
- Begins to develop marketing contacts for new clients and providing additional services for existing clients through community involvement and networking.  Â
- Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned. Â
Â
To Qualify:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.   Â
- Meets the Montana State Board of Public Accountant’s requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA examination, preferred.        Â
- Public accounting experience and/or internship experience preferred.        Â

Skills for Success:
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.
- Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheets; the ability to problem solve; attention to detail, and good organizational skills.    Â
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work as a team member and under close supervision of other accounting staff.Â
- Must provide excellent and timely client/customer service at all times.   Â
