Benefis Health System has an opportunity for an advanced practice provider consulting hospitalist role at our West Campus for medical needs on our Injury Rehabilitation and Psychiatry Units in Great Falls, Montana.  We offer a wide variety of patients and pathology, collaborative teams, great specialty support, competitive compensation and benefits and scheduling that accommodates an adventurous Montana lifestyle!   

   

Position Details   

  • Independent opportunity – typically 7 on 7 offĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • AGACNP certification strongly preferredĀ Ā Ā 

  • The rehab unit is a 20-bed acute rehab with an average census of 12.   

  • Rehab staff of over 100 employees including: 1 brain injury fellowship trained physiatrist/medical director, a unit-based rehab APP to help with consults, rounding and daily patient needs, a rehab psychologist, med/surg trained acute nursing staff and a critical care nurse on call 24/7 in addition to 16 therapists.   

  • Interdisciplinary team conferences take place 3x a week and are held over different shifts to involve all staff, in addition to a shared governance model involving all team members.   

  • Primary diagnoses: TBI, NTBI, TSCI, NTSCI, neuro condition, LE fracture, LE replacement, other ortho, LE amputation, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiac/pulmonary DEB, MMT w/out TBI or SCI, MMT w/ TBI or SCI, andĀ guillainĀ barre   

  • Medical Consultations to manage chronic medical conditions and acute medical illnesses,Ā assistĀ withĀ determiningĀ outpatient medical needs and follow-up, and to provide support for medical emergencies when on duty.    

  • The inpatient psychiatry unit is a 20-bed unit with an average census of 7.Ā Ā 

  • Psychiatry staff of 1 inpatient psychiatrist and psychiatric nursing, in addition to consult liaison acute psychiatry provider team on our main campus.Ā Ā 

  • Medical Consultations to manage chronic medical conditions and acute medical illnesses,Ā assistĀ withĀ determiningĀ outpatient medical needs and follow-up, and to provide support for medical emergencies when on duty.    

  • Medical-type patients such as long-term IV antibiotic patients or custodial level of care, who wouldĀ benefitĀ from psychiatric programming while awaiting discharge, are also admitted to this unit, on occasionĀ Ā Ā 

  • Great access to specialists with over 400 providers on our medical staffĀ representingĀ 40 specialties, including: Neurosurgery, CVT Surgery, Interventional and General Cardiology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Inpatient Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, and more!
