Description

Lone Tree Services is growing quickly and needs to expand or team of capable mechanics to keep up with the demand of a growing heavy equipment and trucking fleet. We are in search of qualified heavy equipment and diesel technicians to join us at our facilities in Greeley, CO.

Compensation is D.O.E. and follows the structure laid out below. We pride ourselves of creating a working environment that our employees can be proud to build a career within and work hard to make sure our people are taken care of and treated fairly.


Mechanic 1: Possess a valid driver’s license. Less than two years' experience. Able to conduct routine maintenance on pick-up trucks and medium-duty gasoline engines, e.g., oil changes, brake, tires, etc. Ability to use computer programs need for maintenance. 


Mechanic 2: Possess a valid driver’s license (preferably a Class B CDL). More than two years' experience as a mechanic on gasoline engines. Able to diagnose and repair most all needs on gasoline engines. Two to three years' experience. Ability to use computer programs need for maintenance.


Mechanic 3: Possess a valid driver’s license (preferably a Class A CDL) with a clean MVR. Less than five years’ experience on yellow iron. Possesses certification in diesel mechanics or more than three years' experience. SOP on file for all company-owned vehicles and machines. Able to move and operate all equipment. Able to perform fieldwork. Light welding skills. Advanced computer skills that included asset management and Wagner Diagnostics.


Mechanic 4: Possess full certification in diesel mechanics. Possess a Class A CDL. Possess a clean MVR. More than five years’ experience. Able to diagnose and repair all machines and trucks. Able to perform fieldwork. No safety violations for six months. Light welding skills. Advanced computer skills that included asset management and Caterpillar Diagnostics.

At Lone Tree Services, we believe that training and safety are key to success. We couple our new employee orientation training with a requirement to complete PEC Safeland, OSHA10, and CPR First aid. All employees participate in weekly training (26 hours annually) conducted by their supervisor/leader with added daily safety meetings. We continually evaluate and upgrade our training to stay ahead of the desires of our customers and our own goal of developing a highly professional workforce.

Lone Tree Services assigns safety responsibilities to every manager in every location. The Safety Manager monitors compliance with the safety manual, processes, and training. Full compliance is required for all subcontractors and is strictly monitored. Our innovative safety program has been written in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements such as OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards. We provide initial safety and orientation training reinforced with daily and weekly safety instruction and inspection. We meet or exceed recommended experience modification rates with many companies.


Employees may also be required to obtain other site-specific safety credentials as mandated by clients or regulatory authorities.

Requirements

GENERAL JOB HAZARDS 

  •  Employees are required to drive in extreme weather conditions such as heavy snow, snow packed roads, icy roads, strong winds, and any other weather conditions that could be considered hazardous.  
  •  Employees are required to enter and exit their truck throughout the day injuries resulting from slips, trips, and falls are common. Employees are required to utilize the three points of contact system while entering or exiting their vehicles. 
  •  You will be required to use different types of hand and power tools. You must be able to inspect and use these tools in the manner they are intended to be used  
  •  Hazards from other equipment or people on location. 
  •  Site specific hazards on location
