Field Service Technician – Sheetfed

Description:

The Field Service Technician – Sheetfed is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and training customers on Heidelberg equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of control systems, components, and maintenance processes. Technicians collaborate with installation teams, riggers, and the technical helpdesk to ensure tasks are completed effectively.

Details:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment via charge service
  • Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance & train on Sheetfed equipment under service contract/warranty
  • Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used equipment that are sales generated. This also applies to the customer requests regarding equipment moves. This includes installation work orders and charge service.
  • Inspect equipment generated via SS36 (10,20,30 & annual inspections) completing the proper documentation and attaching photographs. This reporting is generated to police equipment for Heidelberg and our customer’s records. Protecting Heidelberg and our customer’s investment. Reduce costs to contract when possible.
  • When Visiting customers show our customers the value added by choosing Heidelberg service in a attempt to generate additional revenue. APS /Car stock sales.
  • Product knowledge and the ability to communicate clearly verbally and written (internal and external).
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (i.e. expenses, time-sheets escalation reports, SS36 related reports, online training courses, car maintenance.

Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin

Requirements:

  • Experience working on printing or similar equipment preferably Heidelberg equipment or similar
  • Travel about 50% of the time depending on customer site and needs
  • 3-5 years of experience working on bindery equipment (Cutters, folders, stitchers. etc.)
  • Mechanical/mechatronics background
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer/tech savvy and customer service skills
  • Like working with your hands and have a mechanical aptitude
  • Regular attendance and timeline is required
  • There may be times that over-time or weekend work will be critical to the job.
