About the Role
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the Green Bay, WI business unitās day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This role will be involved in processing vendor invoices, applying customer payments, reviewing bank activity, and providing payment run support while maintaining accurate financial records and documentation. This role also supports month-end close, monitors aging reports, and works cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.Ā
Key Responsibilities
Ā· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timelyĀ
Ā· Review, match, and enter vendor invoicesĀ
Ā· Apply customer payments and assist with customer and vendor account research
Ā· Assist with weekly payment processes, including payment run preparation and supporting documentation
Ā· Monitor customer aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesĀ
Ā· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account variancesĀ
Ā· Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entry support as needed
Ā· Ensure invoices comply with purchase orders, pricing, approval policies, and supporting documentation requirementsĀ
Ā· Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve invoice, payment, and account issuesĀ
Ā· Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and internal control purposesĀ
Ā· Support 1099 preparation by ensuring proper vendor documentation is maintained
Ā· Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyĀ
Ā· Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Ā What Weāre Looking For
Ā· Associate or Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredĀ
Ā· Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Ā· Manufacturing industry experience preferredĀ
Ā· Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsĀ
Ā· Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are high-level, responsive, and professionalĀ
Ā· Proficiency in Excel, including lookups, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
Ā· Experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, preferredĀ
