Job Summary

The Logistics Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates. This role focuses on recruiting drivers and logistics staff to support operational staffing needs. The recruiter manages the full recruitment lifecycle from application to onboarding by coordinating interviews, maintaining candidate communications, and managing recruitment operations while ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with company workforce goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for logistics and driver positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, recruiting platforms, and industry networks.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future logistics roles.
  • Post job advertisements and maintain listings on recruiting platforms.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities to build candidate pipelines and promote driving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company hiring regulations.
  • Maintain candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Build relationships with logistics professionals and industry organizations.
  • Support onboarding processes for newly hired logistics employees, including documentation, background checks, and orientation scheduling.
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Logistics management teams.

Education/Experience is required when indicated, desired otherwise.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in logistics or transportation.
  • Knowledge of logistics roles such as drivers and dispatchers.
  • Experience using ATS platforms and recruiting tools.
  • Strong communication skills, interviewing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple job openings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with logistics industry regulations and workforce requirements.
  • Capability to continually seek new sourcing options and develop creative approaches for delivering candidates.

  • Strength and flexibility to work at a desk for up to eight hours

Satisfactory performance of the essential duties of this job will require standing, kneeling, sitting, and walking as well as fine motor skills (especially of the hands) and the extended reach of arms. Walking, hearing, and sight are required.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties for this position, the employee is primarily located in an office environment.

While on project sites, the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions and all-season outdoor weather conditions such as extreme cold or extreme heat. The employee may occasionally be asked to work in high/precarious places and/or confined spaces, work within proximity of moving mechanical parts, be around fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, animal manure, food waste products, biogas, may be subject to loud noises and strong vibrations, and encounter frequent truck and equipment traffic.

Compensation

Salary is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program, paid personal time off and holidays. You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and participation in the employee Long-Term Incentive plan.
