POSITION OVERVIEW

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of processing and packaging equipment and providing technical support to improve and optimize within the manufacturing operations and processes.

  • Starting Pay: $36.14 per hour up to $39.14 per hour
    • Shift differential for 3rd shift
  • 12-hour shifts -  6 pm - 6 am on a 2-2-3 schedule

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

 You will be scheduled to work 12-hour shifts on a 2, 2, 3 Schedule

  • 6 pm - 6 am on a 2-2-3 schedule
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and emergency events as needed
  • Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment to improve reliability and operational performance
  • Understanding and following all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment
  • Identifying/diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, electrical and/or electronic issues
  • Management of work orders, parts requisition, and data entry through understanding and use of Maximo Maintenance Management System
  • Providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modification
  • Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)
  • Performing both uptime and down time preventative maintenance
  • Effectively communicate and productively interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors, vendors, visitors, etc.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
  • 2 years (minimum) maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting with electrical experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including completion of an accredited maintenance or industrial technical program (such as an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Technical Manufacturing)
  • CARO (Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator) certification preferred but not required at time of hire; must obtain CARO certification within 18 months as a condition of employment.
  • Understanding of PLC operation, industrial electrical components and systems troubleshooting
  • Must have a solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, ability to diagnose problems, repair or replace components, preventative maintenance and attention to detail
  • Experience with various tools and technologies, including hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
  • Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
  • Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
