Hotel Self-Parking Overnight Lot Auditor

Department: Hotel Self-Parking Division

Schedule: Full Time / Part-Time (10pm - 7am)

Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary
We are looking for a responsible person to watch over a parking lot during the weekend (Friday/Saturday) night shift (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This job includes checking cars, keeping records, helping guests, and making sure the parking lot is safe and organized. You will often work outside and may work alone.

 

Main Goal
The main goal of this job is to help guests and keep the parking lot safe, clean, and organized. The Overnight Parking Lot Attendant makes sure people follow parking rules and helps anyone who has questions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
Checking Records
You will count cars in the parking lot and check tickets and records to make sure everything matches. If something doesn’t match, you will fix the records and report the issue.

 

Watching Car Activity
You will watch cars as they enter and leave the parking lot. You will make sure vehicles are parked correctly and that all tickets match the cars. If you see cars parked where they should not be, you must report it.

 

Reports and Record Keeping
You will write reports at the end of your shift. These reports include how many tickets were given, how many cars parked, and any problems that happened. It is important to pay close attention to details.

 

Safety and Security
You will check the parking lot often to make sure it is safe. This includes checking lights, signs, cameras, and parking lines. If you see anything suspicious or unsafe, you should report it.

 

Keeping the Lot Clean
You will help keep the parking lot clean and safe. This includes making sure cones, signs, and other equipment are in good condition and that there is no trash or dangerous objects on the ground.

 

Customer Service and Communication
You will help guests with questions and give directions when needed. You should be polite, listen carefully, and communicate clearly with both guests and coworkers.

 

Attendance and Professionalism
You must show up on time, follow company rules, and behave professionally while working.

 

Other Tasks
Sometimes you may be asked to do other tasks, attend meetings, or complete training.

 

Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience
You should have a high school diploma or GED. Experience in customer service is helpful. A friendly and helpful attitude is very important.

 

License and Background Check
You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Your driving record should have no more than three moving violations in the past three years. You must also pass a background check.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This job requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will work outside in different weather conditions. You may also work weekends and holidays. The job can include noisy areas, moving vehicles, and both indoor and outdoor work. Always stay alert and report safety problems. Never put yourself in danger.

 

Cell Phone Use
You may need to use your personal cell phone for work communication, such as contacting coworkers or managers. If you use your phone for work, the company may reimburse you according to their policy.

Overtime
All non-exempt positions will receive overtime pay (when applicable).

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and as such, employees in this role are entitled to receive overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek at the rate of one and one-half times the regular hourly rate. PMC follows all applicable federal, state, and local minimum wage and overtime laws, and compensation will be provided in accordance with these standards. Hourly rates will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage in your work location.
