Job Summary
At Prevea Health, the Patient Support role involves greeting and assisting patients and visitors upon arrival, offering guidance, support, and referrals to ensure a welcoming and efficient clinic experience.

What you will do

  • Welcomes patients and visitors as they enter clinic/department. Directs them to appropriate location including clinical, ancillary or business areas.
  • Helps patients needing assistance. Transfers patients in/out of wheelchairs using body mechanics techniques.
  • Follows clinic protocol in alerting appropriate personnel in emergency situations.
  • Handles customer concerns in helpful, objective manner, involving manager as appropriate.
  • Arranges for necessary transportation including cabs, clinic vans.
  • May assist in maintaining waiting areas.
  • Maintain lost and found.


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Minimum of one year customer service experience or volunteer position Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of customer service concepts including importance of appropriate image.
  • Knowledge of clinic policies/procedures, department locations/personnel.
  • Knowledge of emergency protocols.
  • Skill in appropriate welcoming techniques.
  • Skill in providing current directions to visitors.
  • Skill in behaving appropriately in all situations including emergencies and use of equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and positively with all types of customers and can establish/maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain attractive lobby/waiting areas.
