POSITION SUMMARY
The technology support specialist is responsible for all company software and hardware. This includes the installation, modification, and maintenance of all devices, software, and hardware, as well as responding to end-user issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides direct technology support to users across the company including, but not limited to, diagnosing and resolving issues, conducting upgrades, and providing basic technical training.
- Logs and tracks all end-user issues in the Help Desk tracking system and notifies technology support lead of trends or unusual activity.
- Coordinates and executes the distribution of new devices and programs throughout the company.
- Works closely with network administration to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages; assists with the reboot process.
- Continuously assesses software updates, drivers, and programs to ensure that the company is using the best tools.
- Administers support for AV, teleconferencing, and conference room technologies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Minimum of two years of experience in information technology is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with team members across the organization.
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily an office environment with occasional project site visits.

The following outlines how much on-the-job time is spent on specific physical activities. Under 1/3 of your time will be spent climbing or balancing, tasting or smelling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Up to 2/3 of your time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Our office environment requires extensive computer work and the use of the phone.
