Small Engine Mechanic

Job Description:A small engine mechanic builds, maintains, and repairs small engines. Including lawn mowers, weed whackers, and chainsaws. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for mechanics, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair problems and/or failures in a wide variety of equipment (e.g. mowers, edgers, pumps, compressors, hydraulic rams, sprayers, generators, switches, lights, etc.) to identify equipment and/or system repair and replacement needs.

• Clean, sharpen, and lubricate a variety of motorized equipment (e.g. reel mowers, blades, hedge trimmer, edgers, trimmers, etc.) to ensure units are operating safely and correctly.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.

• Maintain tools and/or equipment to ensure the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.

• Complete service work orders through Aspire.

Requirements:

• 3 years of professional experience

• Mechanical aptitude is essential.

• Experience with some or all of the following: John Deere, Stihl, Ditchwitch, Bobcat, and Torro.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.

• Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.

• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as needed.

• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to safely access active job sites and navigate uneven terrain.
