Occupational Therapist – Birth to 3 Program
Position Type: Contracted, Limited Hours (Wednesdays, approximately 6–8 hours/week)
Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides early intervention services to children aged birth to three in home and community settings. This role focuses on supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence through individualized therapy and family coaching.
Positions responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Conduct developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers.
· Identify delays in fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, play skills, and overall functional development.
· Provide hands-on therapy within natural environments.
· Coach families and caregivers to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines.
· Recommend adaptive strategies, tools, and interventions.
· Collaborate with team members and participate in IFSP meetings, updates, and progress reviews.
· Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including discharge reports.
· Independently bill private insurance and Medicaid (MA).
· Comply with HIPAA regulations and DHS 90 standards.
· Attend team meetings and communicate with the program coordinator as required.
· Participate in professional development and maintain licensure.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited school with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
· Current licensure from the State of Wisconsin.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
