This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, dorms, houses, public areas, and other facilities to meet GLCC’s high standards of hospitality. Housekeeping Team Members will work closely with other staff members to ensure that all guest accommodations are properly prepared and maintained for a positive guest experience.  Compensation: Starting at $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for increased compensation based on relevant skills, experience, and demonstrated abilities.  Key Responsibilities: Room and Facility Cleaning: Perform cleaning duties for guest lodging, common areas, and other facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, tidy, and up to GLCC's cleanliness standards. Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies, including cleaning products, linens, towels, and toiletries, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other housekeeping team members and LFS members to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks, contributing to a smooth operational flow. Guest Service Support: Provide excellent guest service by responding to guest requests for additional services, supplies, or accommodation, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Facility & Equipment Reporting: Identify and promptly report maintenance, repair, safety, or facility concerns to help maintain clean, safe, and functional spaces for staff and guests. Work Area Organization: Maintain clean, orderly, and well-organized areas to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure easy access to supplies. Keep housekeeping closets and storage areas organized and clean to ensure efficiency and safety in your daily tasks. Inventory Management: Assist with regular inventory processes, ensuring accurate documentation and availability of needed supplies and well-maintained linens for guest accommodations. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals, supplies, and operating equipment, ensuring a safe environment for employees, yourself, and guests. Secondary Duties: Assist with other housekeeping or LFS tasks as required, including deep cleaning, laundry, custodial, or seasonal tasks. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall operations of the Lodging & Facilities Services department and/or other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications & Skills: Alignment with GLCC’s mission and values Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor including standing, bending, walking, or sitting, for extended periods. Valid Driver’s License preferred but not required. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of supplies. Dependable, responsible, and reliable with a cooperative attitude Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior custodial, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.  Schedule & Commitment: Part-time without benefits, or full-time with benefits. Standard work hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Sunday–Saturday. Actual schedule will be determined based on organizational needs.  Introductory Employment Period: New employees may be hired into an introductory employment period of up to 90 days. During this period, the employee's performance, attendance, reliability, job fit, and ability to meet the expectations of the position will be evaluated. Employees will be classified and compensated based on the position and hours actually worked.
