MC - Glass Cutter

General Description of Position:

Precuts fiberglass mat, bi-axial, bi-ply and coremat; prepares kits and delivers to the line.

Duties (Essential):

Cuts mat and stacks on carts. Cuts woven for all applications. Cuts PVC pipe to lengths needed. Essential – 85%

Fills bulk material bin, cleans up area, pushes cart to lamination. Essential – 10%

Duties (Non-Essential): Performs related duties as assigned. 

Education & Work Experience

Must read a ruler, charts, add with a ruler, and be able to keep accurate records. Must be able to use required tools, including a cutting knife, razor, scissors, electric saw, ruler and templates.

Environmental and Working Conditions: 

Moderate to heavy lifting (50 to 75 lbs.), with or without accommodation. Normal duties include lifting material, bending, stooping, leaning, reaching and stretching. Must be able to read and understand instructions. Must wear personal protective gear, such as gloves and coveralls. Talking, hearing and normal vision required.

Skills & Aptitudes:

Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English.

Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
