This position goes beyond traditional recruiting—you will proactively build strong talent pipelines, strengthen our employment brand, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across the organization to understand workforce needs, develop strategic recruiting approaches, and identify top talent before openings arise. You will use data, insights, and continuous improvement practices to reduce time-to-fill and improve hiring effectiveness while maintaining alignment with JTEKT’s values and performance expectations.

Summary / Purpose
The Senior HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition position focuses on building and retaining strong talent pipelines, ensuring an enhanced candidate experience, and partnering with leadership to meet workforce needs while measuring effectiveness through performance metrics.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
- Build and sustain proactive talent pipelines through sourcing, screening, and interviewing
- Reduce time-to-fill through strategic sourcing and talent mapping
- Develop and standardize recruitment tools and processes
- Represent JTEKT at recruiting events and career fairs
- Manage job postings within the Applicant Tracking System (Dayforce)
- Partner with hiring managers to align recruiting strategies
- Facilitate onboarding and support new hire orientation
- Support job description development and updates
- Participate in employee and community engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality standards
- Work flexible schedules including overtime as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong ability to build and manage talent pipelines
- Data-driven recruiting and analytics capability
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.)
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Flexible schedule to support multiple shifts
- Knowledge of safety and environmental systems
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred with a minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Combination of office and shop floor presence, requiring regular communication across all levels. Standard full-time schedule with flexibility to support business needs.
