We are currently seeking an experienced, driven, and natural problem-solver to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst.
We are currently seeking an experienced, innovative, and critical thinker for our Senior Business Analyst position. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the IT software application technical resource to the functional line of business owners and associated subject matter experts. The Senior Business Analyst will support the line of business' software application portfolio by providing: 1) application support services through research, issue identification, escalation and resolution, 2) application management, configuration, and testing services, and 3) insight, business analysis, research and guidance on systems selection and design efforts as well as participating in all systems life cycle activities. The Senior Business Analyst will lead the design, development, documentation, requirements analysis, creation and testing of computer systems and business applications. The Senior Business Analyst will assist and act as a mentor to other members of the team as requested and assure that system and technical considerations are being met.
This is a hybrid-position based in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration (or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.)
- 5+ years' experience in gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications and performing quality assurance testing. Previous financial institution experience strongly preferred. Significant relevant experience in a financial institution may be a substitute for education.
- Must have education and working knowledge in systems analysis and quality assurance techniques, project management techniques, communication, diagramming, reporting, training, and presentation techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities and prioritize conflicting demands. Must have excellent analytical skills. Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrated telephone and interpersonal skills. Provide exceptional member service and tactfully manage business relationships, internally and externally. Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, composure and flexibility. Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely to all levels of employees, management and/or vendors.
- Knowledge of NCUA and FFIEC regulations, GLBA, PCI and other information security requirements and framework knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.
