As part of the international Product Verification & Validation (V&V) organization, you will be working on the improvement of our products. You and your team will be responsible for the overall verification process of our treatment devices at our in-house test facilities, in combination with various radiation oncology software packages. You will also cooperate closely with teams at other development centers in Europe, North America and Asia.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coach the Product Verification team, responsible for the verification of our medical device applications.
  • Propose and drive improvements to processes related to Product testing,
  • Work with the functional leadership team on defining test development strategy and actively contribute to the technical leadership of the projects where necessary.
  • Provide technical leadership for the team members who develop test strategies and create test plans in close collaboration with other engineering teams, project management, product management and others.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated testing strategies.
  • Report testing progress and take responsibility for the deliverables as specified in the project plans.
  • Create resourcing and execution plans, regularly track progress against objectives, identify and manage organizational risks to ensure successful accomplishment of objectives
  • Ensure quality and consistency of test deliverables.
  • Deeply understand Testing Techniques and approaches used in testing, including white-box (logic driven), black-box (requirements driven), coverage testing, reliability testing and regression testing. 
  • Comply with the Quality Management Systems and applicable regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications

  • Management qualification and experience in medical device industry
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, medical engineering or equivalent skills
  • People management experience of 2-3 years.
  • Five or more years of professional experience in software testing
  • Excellent team building skills - creating a sense of team driven by common goals, motivation, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and geographically distributed team.
  • Tester certification (ISTQB/SAQ Certified Tester) is a plus
  • Experience in regulated environment is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, creative, innovative and open minded
  • Travel: approx. 5-10%

The base pay range for this position is:

$129,900 - $178,618

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
