Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and wire electrical control panels, enclosures, and sub-panels according to engineering blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Install and connect components such as relays, circuit breakers, switches, transformers, PLCs, and other electrical devices.
• Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and wire termination with accuracy and neatness.
• Test and troubleshoot assembled control panels to ensure functionality and compliance with quality standards.
• Interpret and follow electrical schematics, layout drawings, and technical instructions.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety protocols, and applicable electrical codes.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve technical issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Document and report any issues, modifications, or improvements related to the assembly process.
• Adhere to project deadlines and production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.


Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical systems or related fields is a plus.
• Proven experience as a control panel builder, electrician, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (e.g., UL 508A, NEC, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or work in various positions for extended periods.


Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems or related technologies.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices or continuous improvement processes.
Work Environment:
• Work is typically performed in a manufacturing or production environment.
• May involve exposure to noise, dust, and electrical hazards (with appropriate safety measures in place)
