We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for resident care and strive to providing high-quality services.The primary purpose of the Qualified Medication Aide to provide personal care to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with policies and 

procedures while complying with state, federal and all other applicable health care standards. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS  

  • Provide direct resident care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, bed making, linen changes, mobility, positioning, transfers, and meal or activity preparation while promoting resident dignity, comfort, and independence.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, company policies, and quality assurance standards while practicing within the Qualified Medication Aide scope of practice.
  • Monitor, measure, document, and promptly report resident vital signs, weights, skin integrity concerns, changes in physical or emotional condition, and resident complaints or concerns to licensed nursing staff.
  • Accurately complete required documentation, flow sheets, care records, and review resident care plans to ensure appropriate, individualized care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment by following safe lifting and transfer procedures, infection prevention and universal precautions, ensuring equipment is clean and operational, and reporting hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding resident care and status.
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, and company policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
  • Complete required in-services, online training, and continuing education to maintain compliance and competency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous long-term care experience 
  •  Must hold a current and valid state certification for Qualified Medication Aide. 
  • Qualified Medication Adie in the state for which you are applying 
  • Insulin Certification, preferred, not required 
  • Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations 
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures 
  • Experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or caregiving, is preferred, not required 
  • Ability to provide compassionate care 
  • Current CPR/First Aide certification preferred *if not certified, willing to obtain through the company 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment 
  • Ability to commute to Greenfield, IN 46140 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Job may require sitting, standing, and walking regularly 
  • Lift/move 50+ lbs.
