About the Role
This is a seasonal position running February through October. Our peak season — April through June — is our most exciting time of year, with the garden center buzzing with customers searching for annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, shrubs, trees, and more. High energy and team collaboration are essential during this stretch.
Note: Time-off requests cannot be accommodated during the April–June peak period.
Most positions require weekend availability and the ability to lift 30–70 pounds. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions is a must.
No plant expertise? No problem — we’re happy to train motivated, enthusiastic people who bring a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
Departments — Find Your Fit
We’re hiring across five areas of our garden center operations. Many team members work across multiple departments depending on the day’s needs.
— Customer Service Team —
Do you enjoy connecting with people and creating a great experience? Our Customer Service team is the heartbeat of our garden center. You’ll assist customers across all departments, operate POS/cash register systems, promote our Gardener’s Club loyalty program, and make sure every visitor leaves happy.
Great fit for: people-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Gardening knowledge is a bonus but not required.
— Green Goods Team —
This is the role for plant lovers. Work hands-on every day with annuals, perennials, vegetables, shrubs, and trees across our nursery and outdoor sales areas. You’ll provide plant care, assist customers with selections, and share your horticulture knowledge to help gardeners find exactly what they’re looking for.
Great fit for: anyone with a passion for plants, greenery, and horticulture — from beginners to experienced nursery workers.
— Operations Team —
Support the backbone of our garden center by coordinating with our delivery, wholesale, and green goods teams to keep everything running smoothly. Heavy equipment experience is a plus. Outstanding customer service skills are essential, as you’ll interact with both retail and wholesale customers.
Great fit for: organized, dependable team players comfortable working in a dynamic, physical environment.
— Wholesale Team —
Help landscape professionals, contractors, and nursery buyers find exactly what they need to create stunning outdoor spaces. You’ll bring strong product knowledge of trees, shrubs, and landscaping plants to assist trade customers with larger orders and specialized requests.
Great fit for: candidates with at least one year of nursery or landscaping experience and solid knowledge of landscape plants.
— Inventory Team —
Keep our garden center stocked, organized, and ready for customers. You’ll unload deliveries, receive and process new product shipments, organize stock, and collaborate with the service teams to ensure every plant, bag of soil, and garden tool is perfectly placed.
Great fit for: detail-oriented people with strong organizational skills and a love of systems and order.
