What will you do? 

A day in the life of an Analyst, Global Planning Technology at VF is busy, varied, and full of learning opportunities. 

In this role, you’ll work closely with both the global planning and technology teams. You’ll help support the tools, platforms, and processes that our global brands use for planning. 

You’re curious, organized, and motivated to learn. You’re interested in new AI tools and want to understand how they can help teams work more efficiently, find insights, and make better decisions. You ask questions, explore how things work, and look for ways to improve them. 

You’ll work in a cross-functional environment and collaborate with global planning teams, technology partners, data engineers, and product owners. You’ll help support projects, review results, track inputs and outputs, and make sure planning tools are meeting business needs. 

You’ll use both your analytical skills and communication skills to turn data into clear takeaways, helping teams move from questions to next steps. As VF continues to update and improve its planning tools, you’ll contribute by testing changes, sharing feedback, and helping roll out what works.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support global planning technology platforms used across merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, allocations, replenishment, pricing, and forecasting. 
  • Analyze data outputs from planning tools to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities across brands and regions. 
  • Help coordinate project tasks across cross-functional teams and support on-time completion of key milestones. 
  • Support team check-ins by sharing updates, tracking action items, and flagging risks or issues to the right partners. 
  • Leverage emerging AI tools and frontier models to automate workflows, enhance analysis, and improve day-to-day efficiency. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with Global Planning, IT, Data, and Product teams to support initiatives and ensure alignment. 
  • Assist with requirements gathering, UAT testing, documentation, and rollout support for planning technology enhancements 
  • Monitor multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintaining exceptional organization, prioritization, and follow-through 
  • Translate technical or analytical findings into clear, concise insights for non-technical stakeholders 
  • Support governance, data quality checks, and standardization across global planning processes 
  • Continuously learn and adapt—quickly building expertise in new tools, systems, and planning concepts as VF’s ecosystem evolves 

What do you need to succeed?

While formal education in a related field is valued, we are most interested in your analytical mindset, learning agility, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. 

Foundation Skills 

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics, planning, project management, technology, or a related business-facing analytical role preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Technology Systems, Business, or equivalent experience. 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including comfort working with large datasets and structured problem-solving 
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows, automation tools, and generative AI use cases or demonstrated learning agility 
  • Exceptionally organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders 
  • High learning agility with enthusiasm for adopting new tools, technologies, and frontier AI capabilities 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate effectively across global teams 
  • Experience translating data and analysis into actionable insights 
  • Comfort working in evolving, ambiguous environments with changing requirements 

Nice to Have 

  • Exposure to planning tools (e.g., MFP, forecasting, allocation, replenishment, pricing etc.) 
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools 
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations or transformations 
  • Experience using SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, or similar analytical tools 

Hiring Range:

$88,000.00 USD - $110,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
