Job Description: 

Industrial Engineering Intern will work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Manager to gain real-world experience working on actual engineering projects within the Bison business unit. Our manufacturing facility produces motors, blowers, pumps, motor drives, and associated electronics that are used in a variety of demanding industries.

 

 What you will do:

  • Assist with production line moves, including improvements to layouts to reduce cyle time and general workflow
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Create Work Instructions
  • Involved in implementation of solutions and standard work
  • Routing of new products 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Must be enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program at an accredited university; Industrial and Mechanical Engineering majors would typically be a good fit, but similar majors are considered
  • Sophomore or higher-level standing
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail to effectively communicate with others is highly beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to read assembly prints for assembly/disassembly of motors given training and supervision
