We offer equal employment opportunity in a drug-free and smoke-free campus Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Current Medication Aide/Medication Technician certification, as required by state regulations Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required Previous experience in a healthcare, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care setting preferred Ability to safely administer and document medications according to physician orders and facility policies Knowledge of medication administration procedures and basic infection-control practices Ability to accurately document medication administration and report changes in residents’ conditions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with residents Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect residents’ privacy Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility employment requirements Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents as needed
