MASS Tech is seeking an MES Ignition Consultant This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued​
Requirements
Your Role
- Configure, deploy, and support Ignition-based MES architectures
- Integrate MES with PLCs, SCADA, ERP, Quality, and other plant systems
- Design robust ISA-95 aligned architectures (Level 2–Level 4 integration)
- Implement real-time data acquisition using OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and related industrial protocols
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripting within Ignition environments
- Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause resolution
- Support IT/OT convergence initiatives including network segmentation and cybersecurity alignment
- Enable scalable and secure IIoT frameworks
- Travel to multiple manufacturing sites as needed for deployment and support
Your Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in MES, SCADA, and manufacturing systems within advanced industrial environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Ignition platform configuration, scripting, and system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in PLC integration (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) and real-time plant-floor data acquisition.
- Experience integrating MES with ERP, Quality, Warehouse, and other enterprise systems aligned to ISA-95 architecture.
- Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL databases, query optimization, and stored procedures for MES applications.
- Understanding of IT/OT convergence, plant network architecture, and industrial cybersecurity standards.
- Experience supporting full SDLC lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture design, development, testing (FAT/SAT), deployment, and hypercare.
- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring platforms, IIoT frameworks, or hybrid edge-cloud architectures.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites and support multi-location deployments.
- Ignition certification is highly desirable.
