Founded in Greensboro, NC in 2005, Simply Southern has been creating vibrant, catchy t-shirts and clothing for two decades. Simply Southern began as a small apparel kiosk in a mall in 2005. Today, Simply Southern is sold by over 6,000 independent retailers and has 32 of our own retail stores throughout 16 states. Between our corporate office, production facility, and retail locations, Simply Southern employs over 400 people. Simply Southern is passionate about helping the less fortunate and using our success for good. Simply Southern donates to a variety of organizations but are best known for our efforts to help sea turtle conservation and ChildFund International. To date, Simply Southern has donated over $6 million in cash and merchandise We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative in the Columbia, SC area to actively engage with prospective and existing customers in the field. This role involves identifying customer needs, presenting appropriate products or services, and closing sales deals to achieve and exceed sales targets, as well as looking for new retailers in the northern part of South Carolina who may benefit from selling Simply Southern. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys face-to-face interaction, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Sales Representatives are responsible for creating a relationship with, calling, and assisting our customers with ordering, product knowledge, and payments. Our Sales team is also responsible for prospecting new clients and building their assigned territories. Ultimately the Sales Representative will be an active listener, skilled at upselling and suggestive selling, and is motivated and excited to sell Simply Southern.    Sales Representative Responsibilities:   Must be a product knowledge specialist.  Understand the customers’ needs and requirements  Maintain regular communication with existing accounts through systematic call and visit cycles. Prospect for new accounts Follow up on inbound sales leads  Help existing accounts with claims/ new product/selling strategies Place orders for existing accounts Cold call new and existing customers Collect payment info Perform effective sales demos to existing and prospective customers.  Build effective customer relationships through research of customers Facebook, Instagram and other social media channels Achieve monthly goals Attend trade shows Schedule market appointments  Qualifications  Sales Representative Qualifications: Must be willing to travel to customer locations, all major trade shows, and to events for customers as needed Must live in the area or be willing to relocate.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly Persistent, dynamic personality Confident in handling and overcoming rejection Driven and competitive with a desire to consistently increase and exceed goals. Proven Sales experience is preferred. Pay: $50,000.00 per year + commissions
