Housekeeping

Job Summary:

Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, removing trash, cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Empty trashcans and replace liners when necessary.  Remove trash to dumpster.  (or every other day as necessary).

·       Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures (sinks, toilets); replace paper towels, tissue and soap, polish mirrors and chrome.

·       Clean, disinfect and polish water fountain.

·       Remove fingerprints and spillage from door glass, walls and partition glass.

·       Clean and sanitize breakroom tables, chairs and counter.

·       Sweep and mop lab.

 

·       Spot clean doors and light switch cover plates.

·       Dust all desk tops and horizontal surfaces.  Damp wipe when necessary.

·       Clean showers.

·       Sweep and mop restroom floors; spot clean partitions and walls.

·       Dust mop and wet mop vinyl floors and quarry tile.

·       Clean and sanitize microwave, outside of refrigerators and counters in breakroom.

·       Sweep concrete floor leading to plant.

 

Clean telephones and dust baseboards

 

·       Dust blinds and vent coverings.

·       Flush restroom floor drains.

 

·       Clean Interior/Exterior Windows.

·       Vinyl floor maintenance (strip, scrub, apply finish).

·       Cleaning inside/outside of refrigerator.

·       Running errands.

·       Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

·       Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, lifting, bend, stoop, kneel, walk up stairs, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

·       Ability to work as team member.

·       Work comfortably in a fast paced environment.

·       Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

·       Follow safety standards and GMP policy.

·       Perform any and all other duties as instructed by the Production Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, VP of Ops (or designee), or any other management staff.

 

·       Previous cleaning experience preferred.
