About the Role:

The Maintenance-Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all mechanical systems within the facility located in Greensboro. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with the maintenance team to identify potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting production goals and operational excellence. This role demands a proactive approach to equipment care, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ultimately, the Maintenance-Mechanic contributes to the overall reliability and longevity of the facility’s mechanical assets, directly impacting productivity and cost efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized mechanical maintenance or industrial mechanic apprenticeship program.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in industrial maintenance or mechanical technology.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
  • Previous experience working in a facility similar to the Frackville location.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and execute timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and regulatory compliance standards during all maintenance operations.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment as required.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions to restore operations.
