Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Guilford ACT - Greensboro, NC 27407Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Health CarePOSITION SUMMARY The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)’s primary duties include providing treatment, rehabilitation, and medical support services to all persons served within the program. The LPN has responsibility for oversight of medication pursuant to physician’s orders, health needs of persons, assessing somatic complaints, maintaining medical records, and implementing orders of primary care physicians. Works with minimum supervision. The LPN maintains health records and cares for persons with minor injuries or illnesses. The Program nurse monitors medical and pharmacological treatments. The LPN provides supportive counseling, support services, and other clinical and rehabilitative services as credentialed.  The LPN also follows orders of the physician, assists with dispensing prescribed medication, works as an integral member of the treatment team and consistently exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the duties of the position. The LPN is expected to be available for consultation and/or to deliver emergency medical services 24 hours a day. In the event of natural disaster, the medical nurse is expected to be available for duty to ensure continuation of medical services. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be a Delaware licensed practical nurse with at least one year of experience working under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or physician or a Delaware  licensed registered nurse.
